NASW-VT is hosting a Social Work Advocacy Day on March 22, 2018 at the Vermont Statehouse in Montpelier. Join us to learn about legislative advocacy, talk with your legislators about issues important to social workers and the people we serve, and connect with other social workers from around the state!

9:00-11:00am: Welcome and meet with Rep. Ann Pugh, Rep. Brian Cina, and Patti Aldredge –Card Room

Social Work Advocacy Day Proclamation Reading –Floor of the House

Sit in on Committees, talk with legislators, lunch (not included) at cafeteria or on your own

1:00pm: Workshop by the Nancy A. Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work
Free 3 CEU workshop focusing on how social workers can engage in the political process.

3:00pm: Closing group discussion
Day ends at 3:30pm
